1. Rules: This regatta will be governed by the International Sailing Federation Racing Rules of Sailing for 2009-2012, the prescription of US SAILING, the By-Laws of PHRF-New England, MBSA Notice of Race and General Sailing Instructions,this portion of the Notice of Race (except as any of these are altered by the Sailing Instructions) and the Sailing Instructions. All yachts are expected to carry Coast Guard required safety equipment as a minimum.
2. Eligibility: The regatta is open to all monohull sailing yachts. Those yachts without a current valid handicap certificate issued by PHRF-New England will be assigned a handicap by the Dolphin Y.C. Race Committee
3. Entries: Submit a completed an entry form no later than 1000, Sunday, August 23, 2009. Entry forms can be found here.
4. Sail Limitation: All yachts shall be limited to "working sails." No spinnakers or free-flying sails shall be used
5. Skippers Meeting: Sunday morning at 11:00 at the Dolphin Y.C. Starting times will be issued at this time. The Race Committee will monitor VHF Channel 69 from one hour before the first Warning Signal until all yachts have finished the race. Communications will not be acknowledged during the starting sequence unless marine safety is involved.
6. Starting Time: The Warning Gun (first gun) will be at 13:00 hours. MY START TIME:________________

9. Recalls: The Race Committee will attempt to hail premature starters on VHF Channel 69. The failure to hail premature starters, the hail of some but not all premature starters, or the untimely hail of premature starters shall not be grounds for redress [changes RRS 62.1(a)].
10. Time Limit: Three hours after the first starter.
11. Prizes: Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each division at about 17:30 hours.
TROPHY PRESENTATION AND SOCIAL EVENTS: All captains, crews and their guests are invited to attend a special social function at the Dolphin Yacht Club following the race. Chowder will be served, and is included in the entry fee. Trophies will be presented.
