Restaurant Staff and Launch Driver’s Funds

Dear DYC Members,

It’s that time of year again, the season is coming to a close. I hope you all enjoyed the summer and the support from our seasonal staff.

In 2015 we initiated the LAUNCH DRIVERS FUND, which was a great success as it allowed us to collect donations from our boating members and distribute them as an end of season tip to our launch drivers. Last year’s average donation was about one hundred dollars, which the drivers appreciated very much

Last year, at the request of our membership, we have expanded the fund to include the option to donate to either our waterfront and/or restaurant staff.  As seasonal employees, they work very hard at the DYC and when the season ends they look for other work for the remainder of the year. We will close the fund on November 10, 2019 so that they can receive their bonus before the holidays.

Thank you for your generosity in past, and we hope we can continue to show our hardworking staff our appreciation through donations.
